Temple Grandin
Temple Grandin is an intelligent women whom has become an inspiration to many people. She was born on August 29, 1947 in Boston, Massachusetts. Temple was diagnosed with a disability when she was only two years old which is autism. This disability caused her to have brain damage and difficulty while speaking with others which causes her to stutter a lot. Temple's two close friends were her mother and her aunt because they supported her in many of her actions and beliefs. This women never experienced a long term relationship nor had any children throughout her life.
Temple fortunately knew how to control herself during her difficult times;which was using a squeeze machine. It was one of her inventions that contributed in helping Temple control her anxiety. This machine was used to help calm the cows at her aunt and uncle's ranch so she thought it might help her and it actually did. This women was a writer that wrote about autism and animals. She designed a structure in which helped the cows move throughly calmly rather than being rushed and forced.
Up to this date, Temple lives in Colorado and is a professor at Colorado State University. She has a master's and doctoral degree in animal science. When Temple saw a door, she saw it as a new beginning. What happens when you see obstacles as opportunities and you allow yourself to learn from those experiences is that you become a stronger person. It makes you stronger because you learn to be brave and overcome your fears/obstacles. Just like in the movie, Temple was afraid to go through doors at first which became an obstacle for her, but she stood up and overcame this obstacle and she became brave. It was a new beginning for her.
